SLN Dvora sunk - radio

A Dvora Fast Attack Craft (FAC) was sunk and two other boats of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) were heavily damaged in a Black Tiger attack launched on a group of Sri Lankan patrol boats in the seas off Pulmoddai, 52 kilometers north of Trincomalee, said the Voice of Tigers (VoT) radio this evening.

The VoT said that more than ten Sri Lanka Navy personnel were killed in this attack which took place around 3.15 am today. A Dvora can carry a crew of 12.

Two Black Sea Tigers, Lt.Col.Neethiyappan (Veerapaahu Sivanesvaran of Mutur- Trincomalee) and Major Elilventhan or Anthamaan (Vadivelu Senthilkumar of Batticaloa) were killed in the attack on the SLN patrol today the radio said.
