The team has conducted inquires with the assistance of the Sri Lankan Army and is said to have arrested several civilians in Batticaloa. Yesterday the team arrested Samiththamby Thavarajah, owner of Gowri Jewellers in the Batticaloa town. It is alleged that he had given food at his residence to an LTTE group that went on the bombing mission to Kandy. The team also arrested a person called V. Arumugam in Eravur today. Further details of this person are not known.
