Villager remanded for entering HSZ in Jaffna

The Chavakachcheri Magistrate, Mr.B.Subramanian, Friday remanded a villager, Mr.Jeyathasan Selvarajah, when he was produced on a report that he had entered the high security zone of the Sri Lanka Army located in Nagarkovil in Vadamaradchi east division in the Jaffna district, legal sources said.

Mr.Selvarajah is a resident of Sinnathodddam in Point Pedro. He was arrested by the SLA on October 31 inside the high security zone at Nagarkovil where the Brigade -10 headquarters of the SLA is located. Later the villager was handed over to the Kodikamam police, sources said.

The Magistrate ordered remand for the suspect till November 28 when the police produced him at the Chavakachcheri court Friday.
