Vavuniya protests against Eastern campus disruptive elements

Academic staff, students and non-academic staff of the Vavuniya campus of the Jaffna University Friday conducted a black band campaign opposing the elements responsible for the disruption academic session East University and the disunity of Tamils in the east, sources said.

At the conclusion a memorandum was handed over to the LTTE Vavuniya district administrative head Ilankathir addressed to the Thamileelam national leader to resolve the Batticaloa-Amparai crisis without bloodshed.

This event took place at the office of the LTTE Vavuniya district political office. The memorandum urged the unity of Tamil speaking people, sources said.
