Lt.Col.Senathi's body buried

Body of Lt.Col.Senathi, LTTE political head of Batticaloa town, who succumbed to gun shot injuries received on 5 July at Arasady junction in Batticaloa, was buried in Thandiyadi Heroes Cemetary Wednesday afternoon, reports from Batticaloa said.

Lt.Col.Senathirajah's body was taken from Kokkadichcholai District Secretariat to Batticaloa via Manmunaithurai Tuesday morning.

Large number of Batticaloa residents walked past his body when it was left for viewing at the Teachers Training school building and the LTTE offices in Thamaraikerny, reports said.

Later the body was taken to his own home in Senkaladi where several hundred people paid respect. It was then taken to Karadiyanaru Maha Vidyalayam for public viewing.

Lt.Col.Senathirajah's body was later buried in Thandiyadi Heroes Cemetary with full military honors. Several LTTE commanders including Mavadi Munmari Head of the military wing Ramanan, LTTE Administrators and public participated at the burial ceremony, reports added.
