TNA parliamentarians to meet Thamilchelvan

All twenty-two parliamentarians of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) are scheduled to hold talks with Mr.S.P.Thamilchelvan, Political Head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Monday morning at the headquarters of the LTTE, Vanni sources said.

Tamil political sources said the current political situation in Sri Lanka and the stalemate in recommencing the peace talks are issues likely to be discussed at the meeting.

Meanwhile, Batticaloa district TNA parliamentarians Messrs S.Jeyananadamoorthy and P.Ariyanenthran Sunday toured the villages Kaddaikaddu, Vettilaikerni and Mamunai in Jaffna district accompanied by Jaffna TNA parliamentarian Mr.S.Gajendran.

The Batticaloa MPs later requested their counterparts in Jaffna district to visit the districts of Batticaloa and Amparai and to see the plight of Tamils living there undergoing severe hardships.
