Human Rights experts meet NESHOR delegation in Geneva

Ian Martin, the former Secretary General of Amnesty International, and special envoy to monitor Human rights dimension in Sri Lanka and Pascale Bariswyl, a swiss human rights expert addressed the members of the NorthEast Secretariat on Human Rights (NESHOR) in a meeting in Geneva Monday.

The meeting discussed human rights issues and the urgent need to ensure rights of individual in a society which has gone through decades of war and striving for normalcy was stressed.

Meanwhile, Deputy Foreign Minister of Norway, Vidar Helgessen, is expected to meet the LTTE Constitutional Affairs Committee later today, sources from Geneva said.
