UN official plans visit

Mr. K. Otunnu, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations will be in Sri Lanka next month to study the condition of children affected by the war in the North- East, said UN sources in Colombo.

He is expected to inspect conditions in the refugee camps in Vavuniya, visit areas where resettlement of displaced families have taken place and meet up with Chairman of the Vavuniya Urban Council, members of Parliament of the Vavuniya District as well as NGO workers in the area, said sources.
