Tigers sink Sri Lankan gunboat

Naval units of the Liberation Tigers sank a Dvora gun boat of the Sri Lankan Navy in the sea off Pulmoddai this morning.

Navy sources claimed that two sailors were killed,eight wounded and that seven are missing.

Two Sea Tiger boats carrying explosives had approached the Dvora while other Sea Tiger craft were engaging the Sri Lankan Navy craft in a mid sea fire fight.

One of the two 'Black' Sea Tiger boats then rammed into the Dvora and exploded said sources.

The Israeli built fast attack craft (FAC) had sank.

Pulmoddai is on the northern edge of the Trincomalee coast.
