[TamilNet, Saturday, 22 January 2005, 04:56 GMT]
The much awaited visit by Norwegian ministers to meet with the LTTE leadership in Kilinochchi is delayed as the Norwegian team was forced to take A9 land route from Anuradhapura instead of the scheduled helicopter route to Kilinochchi due to cloudy weather conditions, sources in Kilinochchi said.

The visiting Norwegian team comprises Norwegian Foreign Minister Mr. Jan Petersen, Minister of International Development Ms Hilde Frafjord Johnson, Deputy Foreign Minister Vidar Helgesen, Special Adviser Erik Solheim, Norwegian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Hans Brattskar and other officials of the Royal Norwegian Government.

The Norwegian team is also scheduled to visit Mullaithivu to study the ground situation and to gain a first hand impression of how the relief work is proceeding for the people struck by the natural disaster.
