Ranil Wickremasinghe leaves for Norway

Mr.Ranil Wickremasinghe, leader of the opposition and the United National Party (UNP) Saturday evening left for Norway. Mr.Milinda Morogoda and Mr.T.Maheswaran, former ministers in the then United National Front (UNF) government accompanied him, UNP sources said.

During his stay in Oslo, Mr.Ranil Wickremasinghe is expected to hold talks with Norwegian Prime Minister and other government leaders regarding rebuilding tsunami devastated Sri Lanka and the prospects of resuming peace talks between the Government of Sri Lanka and Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, media sources said.

Mr.Ranil Wickremasinghe will then proceed to Brussels to meet European Union (EU) leaders, sources said.
