LTTE delegation meets EU's Deputy Director for External Relations

The delegation led by Mr. S. P. Thamilchelvan, the head of political section of the LTTE, on Thursday, met with Mr. Hervé Jouanjean, the Deputy Director for External Relations for the European Union and discussed the post-tsunami joint mechanism and the current state of peace process.

"Peace Process would be strengthened by mutual confidence building through a joint mechanism with the participation of all parties in the post-Tsunami reconstruction activities," the LTTE peace Secretariat website quoted Mr. Jouanjean as saying.

LTTE delegation also met with Mr. Pierre Vaesen, Belgium's Minister of Development, Mr. Johan Maricou, Leader Asia Section, Belgium's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr.Henri Schumacher, Head of Council Working Group on Asia, Mission of Luxembourg to the EU, the LTTE website said.
