Trinco Youth organization seeks Police protection

Police has provided security to the office of the Trincomalee District Youth Development Aham (TDYDA), a local non-governmental organization which is located along Trincomalee-Kanniya at Mihindupura, after Sinhala groups hurled abuse and injured officials serving in the organization's Trinco offices, security sources said.
According to a complaint made with the police, the office had been attacked Saturday night around 7.30 p.m. by a group of 15 persons hurling abuse and death threat in Sinhala language.
One worker of TDYDA was injured. During the attack four workers including the injured were in the office, police said.
TDYDA is involved in activities that promote national harmony, sources said.
