Japanese Minister to visit Sri Lanka

Japanese Senior Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ichiro Aisawa, is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for bilateral talks and to discuss post-tsuanmi relief matters, said a press release from Embassy of Japan, issued in Colombo Wednesday.

Full text of the press release follows:

Mr.Ichiro Aisawa, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will be in Sri Lanka on a three-day visit from 8th to 10th June 2005.

The Vice-Minister's visit to Sri Lanka is primarily for the purpose of discussing bilateral as well as international cooperations between the two countries, including the post tsunami assistance.

Mr.Aisawa is scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar and others.
