Jaffna Police stop registering public complaints

Sri Lanka Police Station in Jaffna is reported to have stopped taking complaints from public after the abduction and murder of Mr. Charles Wijewardene, Jaffna Police Superintendent last Thursday following the killing of a Tamil civilian at Inuvil in Jaffna district, civil sources said.

Several persons who went to the lodge complaints regarding domestic problems were sent back by policemen in the station since Friday, sources said.
