Grenade lobbed at wine shop in Vavuniya, employee injured

Unidentified men lobbed a grenade into a wine shop in Vavuniya town Thursday night around 8:40 p.m. Mr. Amarasegaram Jeyanatharajah, 25, an employee at the wine shop was injured in the grenade attack, Police said.

The injured alcohol seller is was rushed to Vavuniya Hospital. The reason behind the attack is not known. Large number of beer and arrack bottles were damaged in the grenade attack.
