Tamileelam Police opens inquiry office in Pallai[TamilNet, Friday, 21 October 2005, 17:12 GMT]Tamileelam Police Friday opened a new office in LTTE controlled Pallai area enabling the Jaffna district residents to settle disputes. Mr.Naga Paramanathan, acting head of the Jaffna District Inquiry Unit of the Tamileelam Police said people could seek the services of the newly opened office to settle civil disputes, sources said. Civil sources in Jaffna said Tamileelam Police opened the new office on request from civilians in government controlled areas as they were unable to find satisfactory solution to their disputes within the existing Sri Lanka Police system. Civilians alleged that there were complaints of bribery and corruption in Sri Lanka police stations during the process of registration of complaints and during the resolution phases, sources said.
