Sewing training to tsunami-affected Kaddaikadu women

Sewing training course conducted by the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Organization (RRDH) under an income generation project for about fifty women affected by tsunami at Kaddaikadu village in Vadamarachchi East division in Jaffna district concluded Friday, sources said.

Certificates and sewing machines were handed over to the successful trainees at the concluding event of the course held Friday evening. Later an exhibition was also held.

Mr.A.Muthurajah, President of the Rural Development Society presided.

Mr.Thavithupillai Arulananthan, former principal of Kaddaikadu government school delivered the blessing address. Mr. Jude, Vadamarachchi Tsunami Project Co-ordinator, Mr.Rajan, Tamils Rehabilitaton Organization (TRO) Killinochchi district co-ordinator, Mr.Gnanam, Co-ordinator of TRO Vadamarachchi East also spoke.
