SLA shells wound four family members

Four members of a family in Paythali were wounded when the Sri Lankan Army fired rounds of shells from its camp at Kalkudah in Valaichenai around 9.00 p.m. on Wednesday, said sources.
The wounded are: Mr. Kathirkmathamby, 41, his wife Arasamma Kathirkmathamby, 35, their sons Kathirkmathamby Surendran, 16 and Kathirkmathamby ivauthan, 12.
Their house was also badly damaged in the shelling, the source added.
Valaichenai is 32 km north of the eastern ton of Batticaloa.
