Young family man shot dead in Kalmunai

Unknown gunman shot and killed Thayanithy Ketheeswaran, 29, a father of a child, with a 9mm pistol at his home in Arasunar Road, Pandiruppu, Kalmunai, 39 km south of Batticaloa, Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m., said Kalmunai Police. He was with his young family in his house when the assailant who came in a vehicle, struck him and escaped.

He was with his young family in his house when the assailant who came in a vehicle, struck him and escaped. Motivations for the killing are not clear and the Kalmunai police is conducting investigations. Katheeswaran’s body has been transferred to Kalmunai hospital morgue for postmortem examinations.
