Security guard arrested

Vignarajah Suntharamoorthy, 23, employed as a security guard at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital was arrested by the Sri Lankan Army on August 6 during a search operation in Kokuvil, north of Jaffna Town, said sources.
He was arrested while he was at his sisters house because he was not a registered recident of the house, source added.
Meanwhile a woman lost her leg in a mine blast at Kasthuriyar road near Jaffna Hindu College, yesterday.
She has been identified as Mahenthiran Susila, 40, living in the same area.
Two bodies were found at the 2nd mile post on Mannar- Thlaimannar road on August 5, one of the bodies has been identified as of Kathiravelu Kulasingam, 35.
