Mother's dismembered body found

The body of a 35 year old mother of six children, Gopalan Emilinona, was found concealed in bushes at Kachchai on 14 August. The decomposed body was found by her husband and other villagers, 500 meters from her house.

Emilinona went missing on 2 August and a search had been going on since then, said residents.

Villagers say that Emilinona's body was found in several pieces. It has been taken to Jaffna General hospital for a post-mortem examination. The Chavakachcheri police is said to be investigating the case.
