Head of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in Batticaloa, Sari Rask, from Finland, has told Batticaloa LTTE's Political Head that the SLMM was unable to visit and inspect the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) bombed Thenaham building in Karadiyanaru in LTTE controlled Batticaloa District.
"The SLMM has been concerned of security of its monitors on the ground," Mr. Daya Mohan said.
The Head of SLMM, Maj. Gen. Ulf Henricsson was 750 meters away from Kallady when SLAF Kfir jets bombed a school in Trincomalee District Friday.
The deteroriating ground situation has been further worsened by the aerial strikes carried out by the SLAF, according to LTTE officials.
