The people of Mandaithivu, Allaippiddy and other nearby islets, have already vacated their villages and many areas remain blocked for civilian access by the Sri Lanka Navy. Meanwhle, Sri Lanka Army continued to launch artillery attacks towards the coastal villages in the LTTE controlled Vadamarachchy East, also on Wednesday.
