SLA arrests two Tamil youths in Mannar

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) arrested two Tamil youths Sunday afternoon at Mavilankerni in Mannar district. They have been identified as Mariyathas, 25 and Gnanaseelan Thavaseelan, 23 of Puthirakandal in Murunkan police division, civil sources said.

These youths and their motorbikes they were riding at that time of arrest were kept in custody in the SLA camp.

These two youths are said to natives of Mandaithivu in Jaffna district and they have been currently residing in Puthirakandal in Mannar with their families. They were arrested while they were on their way to attend the religious rites of Thiruchelvam Sebastian who was killed on 10 September at Puthukamam, relatives said.
