Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapakse Wednesday handed over the appointment letter to the new IGP at his Temple Trees residence. Victor Perera will be the 29th IGP for Sri Lanka. He joined the police force thirty seven years ago. He will assume duties on October 12 at a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters.
