Canadian opposition MPs condemn Vakarai bombing, MP slaying

Canadian Parliamentarians, Albina Guarnieri, P.C., M.P., Member of Parliament, Mississauga East Cooksville, Dan McTeague, P.C., M.P. for Pickering-Ajax-Uxbridge, and Omar Alghabra, Liberal Party Member of Parliament for Mississauga— Erindale, have written letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and issued press releases condemning the killings in Sri Lanka.

"Today we learned of the assassination in Colombo of Mr. Nadarajah Raviraj, a Tamil National Alliance Member of Parliament. He was shot dead while on his way to work. While the assassination has been universally condemned, little has been forthcoming thus far from the Canadian government," wrote Dan McTeague, M.P. in his letter to the Canadian Minister of Foregin Affairs.
