Two SLA soldiers killed in Murunkan claymore attack

Two soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army were killed and one soldier and an elderly woman were injured when a claymore mine was detonated targeting SLA soldiers Tuesday around 10:00 a.m. at Sirukandal in Murunkan area in Mannar district.

SLA soldiers in the area fired randomly following the explosion.

A group of soldiers attacked civilians who were seen in Murunkan bazaar area.

Bodies of the dead soldiers were first handed over to the Murunkan government hospital and later transferred to Mannar general hospital by the Murunkan Police.
