Tamil youth shot dead in Anpuvallipuram

Unidentified armed men shot dead Tamil youth in Anpuvallipuram, a suburb off about 3 km from Trincomalee town in the Uppuveli Police division Wednesday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Somapala Wijepalan, sources said.

Uppuveli Police began investigation into the incident.

Police conducted a search operation in the area, sources said.
