Ambassador Boucher arrives in Colombo

Ambassador Richard Boucher, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Affairs in the US government arrived in Colombo Tuesday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. on a three day visit to Sri Lanka. US embassy officials in Colombo received him at the Katunayake international airport.

Mr. Richard Boucher is scheduled to meet Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapakse, his senior ministers, heads of Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force and leaders of civil society during his stay in Colombo.

Boucher is also scheduled to visit Jaffna to view the ground situation.
