Civilian abducted, postman disappears in Jaffna[TamilNet, Monday, 14 May 2007, 17:40 GMT]Unidentified armed men in a white van forcibly abducted a youth Saturday around 10:00 a.m at Vaddukoaddai, according to the complaint made by his father to Human Rights Commission (HRC) Jaffna. Meanwhile, a postman of Kaithadi post office disappeared Saturday on his way to work in a bus, his mother said in her complaint to the HRC. Rasalingam Nagarajah, 22, originally from Thoappukaadu, Kaarai'nakar, was the youth abducted from his temporary residence in Vaddukkoaddai, in the presence of his father. SLA troopers took postman Subramaniam Sivatharsan, 28, along for investigation Friday where he was severely tortured, his mother said on his son's disappearance. The troopers confiscated his motor cycle and his National Identity card before releasing him, his mother said in her complaint. Chronology:
