Bike bomb targets military transport in Colombo

A Sri Lanka Army solder succumbed to his injuries and six persons, including three soldiers, were admitted at Colombo national hospital after a bomb attack that targeted a bus carrying Sri Lanka Army soldiers, on Reclamation Road in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, Thursday morning. The bomb, attached to bicycle was detonated near the main entrance to the Colombo port at 8:45, Police said.

The dead soldier was identified as Corporal Nanayakkara.

Three motor cycles and a car parked near the site were damaged in the explosion.
