Jaffna youth disappears after reporting at SLA camp

A 24-year youth from Thondamaanaaru, Vadamaraadchy, has disappeared after he reported to Sri Lanka Army (SLA) camp at 3:00 p.m Sunday to get back his National Identity card confiscated by the SLA the previous day, his parents said in a complaint to the Jaffna Human Rights Commission Monday.
SLA soldiers duirng a routine road check Saturday confiscated the National Identity card from Kumarasamy Sivanesan from Arasady in Thondamaanaaru, and ordered him to report to the SLA camp Sunday to retrieve the card.
The youth disappeared after reporting at the camp, parents said.
