The Sri Lankan Army (SLA) has banned the transport of mosquito nets and mosquito coils through its sentry points at; Nakar Kovil in Vadamaradchi, Varani in Thenmaradchi and Thampalakamam in Palai.

The new regulations came into effect yesterday, November 7. Meanwhile the Sri Lanka army arrested two people yesterday during a search operations in Chempiyanpattu and Thanippanai in Vadamaradchi. The arrested persons are: P.Sellakkannan, 48 from Chempiyanpattu and M.Thurairatnam, 32, from Vettilaikkerni.
