Sea Tigers, Sri Lanka Navy clash in Eastern waters

Three Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) Dvora gunboats were destroyed by the Sea Tigers Thursday night when more than 17 Dvora boats engaged in a heavy sea fight with Sea Tiger flotillas in the seas off Pulmoaddai. 3 Sea Tigers were killed in the fighting that broke out at 10 p.m. Thursday and lasted till 3:30 a.m. Friday till the Sri Lanka Navy boats were pushed back to the east port harbor, towing the damaged boats, Sea Tiger officials told media.

Artillery shells were fired from the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) coastal positions in Kokki'laay, Kokkuththoduvaay and Pulmoaddai, towards the Sea Tiger flotillas.
