Two brothers, aged 21 and 24, from Nalloor area in Jaffna sought protection with Human Rights Commission (HRC) Jaffna Tuesday due to death threats by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) and SLA-baked paramilitary men.
Armed paramilitary men arriving during curfew hours in the night tried to forcibly abduct them, the brothers said in their complaint to HRC.
A youth from Thenmaraadchi surrendered himself at the Jaffna HRC Monday due to death threats by SLA troops and SLA-backed paramilitary armed men.
The number of civilians including youths and family men is on the increase at an alarming rate, legal society sources in Jaffna said.
