Bomb explodes in Colombo Fort station

A bomb explosion was reported in Colombo Fort Railway station at 7:30 p.m. Friday. All railway services have been cancelled. One person has been reported injured. The bomb exploded underneath the pedestrian bridge that connects two platforms, informed sources said.

Railway administration has announced that the services have been temporarily suspended and that they expect to resume the services soon.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting searches.
