Second Tamil abducted in Bandarawela

Unknown persons abducted a a 27-year old Tamil employee of the Bandarawela Urban Council Monday increasing the number of Tamil civilians abducted in Bandarawela since Sunday night to two, sources in Bandarawela said.

Relatives have lodged complaints with the Bandarawela police on the abduction of V. Subramanian, media sources said.

Earlier an employee working in a shop in Bandarawela was abducted Sunday night. He has been identified as a native of Kaarainagar in Jaffna. He was taken by force in a white colored vehicle by a group of unknown persons from his shop, according to the complaint lodged with the Police by his employer, sources said.
