2 Sinhala traders shot dead in Paandiruppu

Unknown armed persons shot dead two Sinhala traders in Paandiruppu in Kalmunai division Thursday night around 7 p.m, sources in Batticaloa said. The traders, 51 year-old Nimal Sripala, and 40 year-old Premalal Fernando, both natives of Moratuwa, had gone to Paandiruppu to sell furniture.

Bodies of the victims have been taken to the Kalmunai general hospital for postmortem examinations, sources said.
