SLA conducts large scale search operation in Vadamaraadchchi

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers conducted a large scale cordon and search operation Wednesday morning in Vadamaraadchi following the shooting incident where unidentifed armed men seriously injured a youth Monday evening in the vicinity of Vallipurakkoayil area in Vadamaraadchi, sources in Point Pedro said.

The Identity Cards (ICS) of the youths were confiscated by SLA Troopers during the search operation, and the youths were asked to report in nearby Temples and military bases for further investigations. Details of arrests are not available. Most of the working public were greatly inconvenienced during the cordon and search operation, sources said.
