Kaarainakar male shot dead in Vavuniyaa

Balakrishnan Karthigesu, 37, of Kaarainakar in Jaffna district was shot dead by unidentified men Monday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. when he was having meals in a tea boutique along Vavuniyaa –Horowopottana Road, reports from Vavuniyaa said.

On receipt of information a team from Vavuniyaa police rushed to the site and began inquiry into the shooting.

The area was immediately cordoned off the area, and thereafter a search operation was conducted, media reports said.
