SLAF takes control of Ki'n'niyaa security

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) airmen are setting up new camps in Ki'n'niyaa town as the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) hands over control of security to SLAF, civil society sources in Trincomalee said. Ki'n'niyaa is the second largest town in the Trincomalee district.

Ki'n'niyaa is the second largest town in the Trincomalee district. SLAF's Chinabay Airport is located close to Ki'n'niyaa town. Meanwhile, special police sentries set up in Ki'n'niyaa during eastern provincial councils have been closed.
