2 dead bodies recovered in Mannaar public cemetery

Dead bodies of two young men were found Friday morning, with gun shot wounds, in Mannaar public cemetery located along the A-14 Mannaar Thalaimannaar Road, Police said. In recent months, 4 dead bodies have been located from the cemetery.

Four days ago, a decomposed dead body of an old man was located in the cemetery. Police later said that the victim was drunk and there was a stab wound in his body.

Earlier, another dead body recovered from the cemetery was buried by the hospital after a period as it remained unidentified for many days at the hospital mortuary.

The cemetery belongs to Mannaar urban council.
