White van abduction in Ka’luthaava’lai

Unidentified armed men in a white van abducted a family man Sunday around 6:30 p.m. from his home at Ka’luthaava’lai in Ka’luvaangchchikudi police division in Batticaloa district while he was watching TV with his family, according to the complaint made by his wife to Ka’luvaangchchikudi police.

The abducted family man was identified as Nallathamby Thayananthan, 36, a father of two children and a resident of 3rd Cross Street, Ka’luthaava’lai. The police are investigating into the abduction. Ka’luthaava’lai is located 25 km from Batticaloa town.
