2 Police officers die in Vavuniyaa road accident

Two police officers were killed when the motorbike they were riding in collided with a police truck at the 40th milepost along Vavuniyaa-Mannaar road Monday night around 7.45 pm. Both police officers were attached to the Chettikulam police station, police spokesman Ranjit Gunasekara, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) told reporters.

Both police officers were attached to the Chettikulam police station, police spokesman Ranjit Gunasekara, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) told reporters. Police arrested the driver of the police truck and detained him for further questioning.
