Human skeleton recovered in Kayts

Kayts (Oorkaavattu’rai) police recovered a human skeleton washed ashore on Chaaddi beach in Kayts, an islet of Jaffna, an area under complete control of Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), Wednesday evening, sources in Kayts said. The sex of the victim was not immediately discernible from the skeleton according to witnesses.

The sex of the victim was not immediately discernible from the skeleton according to witnesses. Kayts magistrate visited the site, and directed the police to hand over the skeleton to Jaffna Teaching Hospital. The police handed over the skeleton to the hospital Wednesday night.
