SLA shells Ki'linochchi suburb, IDP mother injured

A 26-year-old mother was seriously wounded in Sri Lanka Army (SLA) artillery attack that hit a civilian settlement in Uruththirapuram of Ki'linochchi district Friday morning, medical sources in Ki'linochchi said.

The victm, Vijitharanjini Ravindran is an IDP young mother, sustained serious injury on her left thigh Friday when SLA launched artillery fire on Uruththirapuram Vijitharanjini Ravichandran, the mother of a child, was admitted at Ki'linochchi hospital. Ms. Vijirtharanjani, a native of Gnanimadam, Poonakari (Pooneryn), had displaced recently to Uruththirapuram.
