Tamil civilian shot dead in Trincomalee

Unidentified armed persons shot dead a 42-year-old Tamil civilian Wednesday evening around 5.30 p.m. in Anpuvazhipuram, suburb in Trincomalee town. The victim was a three-wheel owner and a resident of Paalaiyoottu, another suburb of the east port town.

The victim was a three-wheel owner and a resident of Paalaiyoottu, another suburb of the east port town. Gabriel Wilson, the victim, is a father of two children. A group of unidentified men went to Paalaiyoottu and hired Wilson's three-wheeler to a Vairavar temple in Anpuvazhipuram. On reaching the temple, the gunmen shot Wilson and he died on the spot. Uppuve'li Police removed the body to the Trincomalee general hospital.
