Tamils chosen as Left Front party candidates for provincial elections

The Left Front, led by Dr.Wickremabahu Karunaratne, has decided to contest the Central Provincial Council election, and nominated Nadarajah Janakan as its chief candidate. Dr.Karunaratne said the election propaganda would be mainly based on advocating immediate ceasefire.



Nadarajah Janakan is the Editor of the party paper "Samadharmam (Equal Justice)" and he will be the lead candidate of the party in Nuwara Eliya district.

Sundaram Mahendran will be the lead candidate in the Matale district. Harichandra Wijesinghe will be the lead candidate in the Kandy district. The Central provincial Council comprises three districts, Nuwara Eliya, Matale and Kandy
