The ship was scheduled to transport at least 500 of the seriously wounded civilians at the makeshift hospital run by the RDHS of Ki'linochchi and Mullaiththeevu districs at Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal. The ICRC ship was moved towards deep sea following the SLA fire.
